I am working on a Cleopatra level and I am trying to use the rope object but I can't get it to work. I place the object, set a trigger and then run the level converter. So far so good. However, when I test my level things go wrong. The rope appears when Lara walks across the trigger, but when she jumps up and grabs the rope she goes into the wall climbing position. She will not climb up or turn from side to side. When I release the control key she drops back to the froor.

I have tried this same procedure in the Tomb of Seth level and it works fine. Am I doing something wrong?

It sounds to me like the Cleopal.WAD file is missing the necessary rope-swinging animations. Core/Eidos plan to fix these missing animations in the near future (as there are some other WADs with missing monkey-swing and wall-climbing animations).

I've posted this problem earlier along with another bug in catacomb.wad.View Reb's reply on "another corrupted WAD" post.It seems that
these are no "real" bugs but limitations for memory saving(some Lara animations were removed from specific Wads)and there are more
to be discovered...
